At a White House meeting with President Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping backed a U.S. and Iranian return to the June Islamabad memorandum and urged negotiations toward a comprehensive agreement, including on the nuclear issue, according to Xinhua. A White House fact sheet said Trump urged Xi to increase production of refined petroleum products to stabilize global supply; no breakthrough on the war was announced.
