OilPrice.com reported indications of a fire at the Petro Rabigh refining and petrochemical complex north of Jeddah. Iran's Tasnim agency, citing Yemeni sources, said an oil refinery in the Jeddah area had been attacked, while Saudi authorities and Saudi Aramco had not confirmed an attack. The report said unverified videos and satellite observations appeared consistent with a fire near storage infrastructure.

Why it matters

Confirmation of damage or an outage at Petro Rabigh could affect Saudi refining and petrochemical supply and add to concerns over attacks on Gulf energy infrastructure.
