A projectile struck Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, starting a fire and killing a Pakistani resident while wounding 11 people, Saudi civil aviation authorities said. The Saudi-led coalition said air defences also intercepted a missile nearby; the Houthis claimed attacks on the airport and other Saudi transit hubs.
Why it matters
The new casualties and airport strike add pressure on Saudi aviation operations and raise the prospect of further attacks on civilian transit infrastructure.
