IAEA confirms new damage to entrance buildings at Iran's Natanz enrichment site

The International Atomic Energy Agency said satellite imagery showed "some recent damage to entrance buildings" of the underground Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant, with no radiological consequence expected and no additional impact detected at the plant itself.

Why it matters

It was the first confirmed hit on one of Iran's main nuclear sites in this war; IAEA chief Rafael Grossi had said a week before the war that most of Iran's pre-June 2025 enriched material was still in the country.
