Iran fires seven missiles at Kuwait and Bahrain after U.S. downs drones and hits radars

CENTCOM said it shot down four Iranian attack drones launched toward the Strait of Hormuz and struck coastal radar sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island; the IRGC said the clash began when it fired on one of four U.S.-guided tankers trying to leave the strait. Hours later Iran fired seven ballistic missiles toward Kuwait and Bahrain, and CENTCOM said six were intercepted and one missed, with Kuwait reporting debris damage but no casualties.

Why it matters

The IRGC warned that a repeat would bring the 'complete closure' of Hormuz to oil and gas exports, and Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan and Saudi Arabia condemned the attack.
