OilPrice.com reported that crude benchmarks slipped at the start of the week on expectations of additional Russian diesel supplies. Brent traded at $107.84 a barrel and WTI at $100.29. Continued disruption in the Strait of Hormuz kept prices elevated despite the decline.

Why it matters

The decline offers limited relief to fuel buyers: both benchmarks remained above their levels a week earlier while Hormuz disruption constrained supply.
