Fars, citing Mobarakeh Steel Company, said massive U.S.-Israeli strikes caused significant destruction to production units at its Isfahan complex and damaged subsidiary Sefid Dasht Steel. By Thursday Mobarakeh said its production lines had completely shut down and Khuzestan Steel said halted units would not restart for at least six months; Netanyahu later claimed 70% of Iran's steelmaking capacity had been destroyed.
