The Trump administration informally notified Congress of a planned $2.8 billion package for Israel of 20,000 2,000-pound Mk84 bombs and 20,000 BLU-117s, mostly paid with US military financing, AP reported; the deal was not final. On Sep 16 the top House Foreign Affairs Democrat, Gregory Meeks, said he would place a hold on it.
